Happy New Year!

Here's poor Merlin, with his sore nose. The air in the house is too dry, and his little nose is chapped. We get shocks petting Merlin, and I think feeding him from metal dishes wasn't the best. Yes, we now use porcelain. Thanks to canned food, his nose is getting better. Now, how to wean him off canned food and back to dry? That cuddly kitty is going to have a big shock in about 3 weeks when we bring Daisy home!

On another note, as well as keeping up my blog regularly, I am going to post a segment about George and Sue, and our renovating and repair adventures. We are two very clever people, who compliment each other well. George is really good at thinking quickly, and I am better at things that take some patience and are more fiddly. Unfortunately, neither of us are knowledgeable about repairs. So, we do things slowly, and get them done, and I can generalize and tell you that there is always something humorous involved. Like the time we took the leaking toilet apart, went to Home Depot in the evening, and bought the wrong part. And yes, by the time we realized it, the store was closed. The kind of adventures that fall under the comedy category.

So, check back for our latest adventure, which I will post in the next few days - the repair of the extension chord with the fraying end.

In the meantime, HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone,
and may the New Year bring more peace,
less war, and less poverty.
May more people experience joy in their lives.
May we all stay healthy.

And lastly, may the new puppy not take too long to house train.
