What is it?

Yesterday, on my photo blog, I posted a mystery photo. Nobody was correct in their guess as to what it is.

It is the belt from my vacuum cleaner.

The power head on our central vacuum had stopped working, and thanks to the computer age, I was able to find clear instructions and I fixed it myself -

I don't really need to say more, except:


We decided we could "do it ourselves".
George went to Home Depot and bought a replacement part.
We spent a half hour fiddling to get the wires properly and safely connected.
We even had the right tools.
We managed to fix it on the first try ( almost unheard of).
Once all the tools were put away, and we were about to go back to the garage, GEORGE noticed...I didn't.
