An Ending and a New Year

This year has been a tough one, in many ways. There was joy, there were tears, there was loss and there was sorrow. A very good friend moved away. Another experienced serious illness. Our dear little cat is has cancer, he won't be with us much longer.. I turned 55. Turning 55 hit me. Hard. Turning 30, 40 and even 50 didn't do it. It hit me hard, but in a very good way. In spite of having a difficult year, I realized that I am strong, and that I can and will survive anything. Part of it is being 55, but more importantly, I really got "it" - that I have good friends and family and no matter what, I have a soft place to fall.
I am filled with AWE - Acceptance - Wisdom-Experience.
I don't want to wish my life away, having said that, I am glad that this year is over. I am ready for a better year, more daylight hours, and time with family and friends. This past year was a year of great challenge, and I learned the most important lesson of all - I will always be ok.Happy New Year to you and your loved ones. And to my dear Friends and family - Thank You, I love you.
