A visit with the litter.

Today we went to visit Daisy at the breeder's home, along with all the other puppy owners. We all got a chance to hold our own puppies, and learned how to position them in a "stand", how to trim their nails, what to do on the first day, and were given a great instruction book to take home. We will now spend the week puppy-proofing the house.

All the puppies are lovely, lively, and healthy. They all have great dispositions, it's not hard to see all the work that Wendy put in to get them ready for their new homes. None of them were nervous about being handled, they all used the sawdust as their litter, a wonderful group of dogs.

When we picked Daisy up she just settled down for a good snuggle. It was a really great day today.

One very cool thing - I am a big Beatles fan, always have been. This litter's sire is named Fernlane's British Invasion "Ringo" and we are all picking registered names based on the Beatles.
One pup is "Abbey" she'll be registered as Spiritlodge Abbey Road,
Another's name is "Copper", she'll be registered as Spiritlodge Copper Penny Lane
We're still working on Daisy's name.

As I said before, today was a great day, I am so thankful the weather cooperated so that we could get out.

Dear Prudence, greet the brand new day

It's beautiful and so are you
Dear Prudence won't you come out to play

i just love that song ...

How about just picking a beatles song that you love ... even if its something like Norwegian Wood ... you will still have Daisy in there and the name will be just so entirely unique and special. She looks like an adorable pup!!!
