Celebration and Gratitude

Today is my Birthday, and I am er, 50ish, on the low side, not high enough to be able to defer property taxes yet.

My dear friend Izzy, invited me over to her home for dinner and to watch the fireworks. When I came into the living room, there were some of my Scrapaholic buddies! A surprise party for ME! I was very moved that in spite of the horrific heat wave, Jo, Diane, Kathy, Susan and little Pippa came over to Izzy's to celebrate my birthday.

To have such great friends, to feel special, to be a part of a group of extraordinary women, who are kind, intelligent, creative and full of laughs. What more can a girl ask for?

The birthday cards I received were all hand made, and being a paper crafter and card architect ( nyuck, nyuck...), I was very touched by the time and thought that was put into each card.

After some really delicious finger foods, and lovely homemade wine, we watched the fireworks from Izzy's apartment, and took photos of the fireworks. I must have taken 50 photos, and two of them were good.

Thanks so much Izzy! You're the best!
