Success !!!

I love Stampin' Up!

Have I mentioned that before?

The colours coordinate, saving me hours of time (literally!) when putting together a card or scrapbook page.

Stampin'Up! came out with some really cute hand crocheted flower embellisments. Unfortunately, they came in a set of colours that I wouldn't really use.

Well, being Ady's daughter, and following in her footsteps, I decided to challenge myself, and see if I could come up with some crocheted flower embellishments of my own.

Thanks to my friend Kathy, who always inspires me and encourages me, I came up with the above.

Then I started thinking - crochet flowers in Stampin'Up! Colours, and this is what I came up with, using Stampin' Up! reinkers. Sue F was kind enough to lend me some reinkers to experiment with.

My first attempt.
(Note to self - mix the water and reinker before adding the flower).

Did I mention that I love Stampin' Up! ?

Then... I decided to take it a step further, and coloured the crochet cotton first and then crocheted a flower in two Stampin' Up colours:

Yup, I know the flower is imperfect, I used it as an example anyway, because I loved the colour combination - lovely lilac and apricot appeal.

The flower at the top of this blog was made dying the cotton with nearly navy and apricot appeal.

And then...

A fancier flower crocheted in white, dyed with Lovely Lavender reinker and water.

By the way, did I mention I love Stampin' Up?

What do you think of my flowers?
