We had our Mom's 80th surprise party last Saturday.
It took me until today to recover - I don't think Mom's feet have hit the ground yet!
Nobody blew the surprise, and Mom had no idea -
57 people RSVP'd, and there were many dear friends, neighbours, and Sewing Buddies from Pfaff.
Paul and Stella, George and I went with Mom for dinner at the Cheshire Cheese Inn - we all had prime rib -yum! We didn't have any dinner plans in place, we thought Mom would be too tired after the party.
It was 8:30 pm, we had finished dinner, and us "kids" were all ready to go to bed, Mom was running on adrenaline, and was raring to party on!
What a wonderful gift we were able to give her - a party with all the people who are dear to her.
It's a day that none of us will forget for a long time to come.
I will post a slide show later in the week, but I had to post the special cake made by Stella's friend Ingrid - it was a work of art, a really tasty work of art!
Ahhh Happy Belated Birthday to your mom. It sounds like you all had a wonderful time. I'm sure your mom will treasure every moment. What a beautiful cake too! Love the fruit flowers!
